Major towns in Barbados

Major airports in Barbados

Barbados Airport, otherwise known as Grantley Adams Airport, is the only international airport on the island. The airport used to be known as Seawell Airport, which is the namesake of the town it is situated in. The airport links with several major destinations such as Canada, USA and Central America, Europe and South America. Barbados Airport is also a major gateway to the Eastern Caribbean.

There are two terminals in total, which is sufficient to handle a large influx of tourist during the high season. The airport is situated only 12.9km from the capital, Bridgetown.
