ATTRACTIONS OF MONS
The main attractions of Mons are the collegiate Gothic church of Saint Waltrude. Nearby to the church is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the belfry, which is famous for being the only belfry in Belgium and dates back to the 17th century. The City Hall is popular with tourists. The number one place to be at night in Mons is the Marche aux Herbes. It is the square in the city centre and has many bars and chic restaurants. GETTING TO MONS
The city of Mons has the motorway the N56 or Route Nationale 56 running through it. It links up to the A8, which carries on towards Jerbise, Lens and Ath. The road has predominately two lanes but does venture into a single carriageway for some time. Speed limits are 100kph.
