Attractions of Varna
Varna offers a number of museums such as the Ethnographic Museum, Vladislav Varnenchik Museum and the Archaeological Museum. There are also attractions such as Kamichya Nature Reserve and the famous hillside monastery of Aladzha. Varna has a Roman spa that dates back to the 2nd century while there is also a Roman bath from the 3rd Century. The Holy Virgin Monument is the city's cathedral and other buildings of note include the St Nikola Church, which is near the Sea Garden Park, the Clock Tower that was built in 1880 and the Theatre of Drama.

The fact that the city is situated on the Black Sea makes water sports such as swimming, snorkelling, and sailing very popular. Varna is party central along this part of the coast and there are numerous clubs and discos that are open on the beach. They stay open to very late and some places include striptease for men and women. Bonkers Bonkers is a tourist favourite while Comics is open all night offering house music on the beach.
Shopping in Varna
Slivnitsa and the streets that are found leading to the area form what is known as the shopping heart of the city. It is possible to pick up a bargain at any of the various shops along here and it is all pedestrianized with not a car in sight.
Getting to Varna
Varna Airport is located 8km west of the city of Varna. Varna Airport is very well sign posted and it is easy to reach by car. The road infrastructure is very good in this part of the region. There is an airport bus service that takes you from the city to the airport as well as services to the resorts.
