The Chapel of St Mary Formosa is a Byzantine chapel built in the shape of a Greek Cross and it dates back to the 6th Century. Pula offers visitors a number of spectacular churches including the 13th Century Church of St Francis. The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary also dates back to the 6th Century.
