Terminals at Athens Airport

Within the airport are two terminals. The main terminal handles international and domestic flights. It is in this terminal that passengers will find the check in desks. An underground walkway then links to the satellite terminal, which handles domestic flights only one level is for arrivals and the other departures.

Getting to Athens Airport

If visitors wish to park their car at Athens airport, short term parking is situated near arrivals and has over 1000 spaces, stays of less than 20 minutes are free. Long term parking has over 5000 spaces and is on the airports access road, a free shuttle bus is provided.

Facilities at Athens Airport

Athens airport not only provides international and domestic flights, but it boasts many facilities. For instance, cash machines and currency exchange services are readily available throughout, as are customer service desks and payphones. If visitors have children with them they are able to use the childrens play area services in the departure areas where children can play supervised whilst adults shop in duty free. For those with babies, there are designated rooms within toilets for changing throughout the airport. 

Also in the airport is a baggage area, post office which has courier services, internet area and many restaurants and shops.

What's close to Athens Airport?

Surrounding the airport in Athens is the airport retail park. Visitors can either take the short 2 kilometer drive south in their Car Hire Athens Airport vehicle or take the bus from outside the airport. Upon arrival at the retail park visitors will find stores such as Ikea, a large food park selling many different dishes to suit all tastes, a gas station should those driving need to fill up and a outlet store selling a range of products such as home-ware and clothing.

Alternatively, 2 kilometers away and accessible by car or bus is the Metropolitan Exhibition Center. The center has conference facilities and 7 cafes.
