Terminals at Knock Airport 


There is one main terminal building at Knock Airport. It handles both arrivals and departures. There is a modern theme and it is very easy to navigate around. The car parks are located very close outside. The customer service desk is located in the departure lounge near the check-in desks. 

Getting to Knock Airport 


Drive to and from the airport in your Car Hire Knock Airport vehicle. The airport at Knock is located on the N17 road. From the north in Sligo, take the N4 and then the N17 road direct. 

From the north west at Ballina, use the N59/N26 then east on the N5 towards the airport.

From the west, use the N5 from Westport and Castlebar, passing through Swinford. 

From the south, at Tuam and Claremorris take the N83 or N17 north to Ballhaus and onto the airport. 

From Longford in the south east, use the N5 or the N63 through Castlerea and then north on the N83. This will take you to the airport.

Parking at Knock Airport


The airport has 1,500 car parking spaces available. There are disabled spaces near to the terminal building. There are long and short term parking rates and payment is taken at the terminal ticket office or parking meter. The car parks are fenced and manned by security working for the airport.

There are three restaurant/cafes in the airport. There is the Slainte Bar, Danann's Cafe Bar and Ireland West Cafe Bar. They all sell hot and cold beverages, including food. 

The Airport Travel Value Shop sells a whole host of duty free items such as watches, jewelery and aftershaves. There is a section selling spirits, tobacco and magazines. 

There are many ATM machines including currency exchange desks open all day and can change all types of currenices. 

On the ground floor there is the Shrine Office. This is open from 9am to 5pm and offers a place of worship for passengers.

Knock is famous for its Shrine where, in 1879, an apparition of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph was seen. This is now a major pilgrimage site and brings 500,000 visitors each year.
