Siena Airport or Ampugnano as it sometimes gets called is located in the Tuscany region of Italy and based on a small military airfield. The expansion has been granted for a new terminal building which will be able to handle up to four million passengers. There is one small terminal building at the airport. This is due for reconstruction, which is due to be completed in 2020. It will be able to handle around four million passengers once it is completed. At the moment it is a small military airbase without any inbound commercial flights.

Getting to Siena Airport

Siena Airport is located in the center of Italy. It is accessible by the E78 highway. If you are traveling to the town from the east in Perugia you need to use the A1 motorway which circles the lake at Passignano sul Trasimeno.
