Terminals at Albufeira Airport

There is one main terminal building at Albufeira. It is used for both arrivals and departures. It is low lying and very well signposted which makes navigating your way around the complex easy. The terminal was rebuilt in 2004 and is a very modern building now compared to one before.

Getting to Albufeira Airport

Albufeira is located on the southern coast of Portugal. It is around 40 minutes from Faro, which is accessible by using the A22 motorway in your Car Hire Albufeira Airport vehicle. Carry on the A22/IP1 which takes you to Tavira and onto Ayamonte on the Spanish border.

The reason tourists visit Albufeira are the many sandy beaches on the edge of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean makes it unique. There is however a long history to the city, the Castelo de Almoada is a 12th century castle and is located on Paderne road. 

There is a great nightlife such as nightclubs and bars. They are perfect to relax after a day at the beach.
