Terminals at Aberdeen Airport

There is one main terminal for passengers and charter flights. It handles both the arrivals and departures. There are three other terminals but they are for oil companies who use helicopters to fly to oil rigs in the North Sea. The terminal is due for expansion and work is starting.

Getting to Aberdeen Airport

Being located on the north east coast of Scotland, traveling to Aberdeen can only be done from the north, west and south. The A956 from the south in Dundee and Montrose takes you up the coast to the city and the airport. 

From the north, the A98 from Buckie, Macduff and Fraserburgh takes you round the northern coast and south.

From the west in Elgin, Nairn and Inverness you can use the A96 direct to Aberdeen or the A9 to Boat of Bridge Garden then the A95 before meeting up with the A96 to head east towards your final destination with your Car Hire Aberdeen Airport vehicle.

Parking at Aberdeen Airport

There are two car parks at the airport; long and short term. They can hold around 1,000 car collectively. There is a security gate and perimeter fence as well as CCTV cameras. Payment can be made inside the main terminal building or in the car parks at the ticket machines.

There are many facilities at the airport. There are duty free shops selling discounted clothing, tartan and perfumes. There is tobacco, confectioneries and lower priced electronic goods such as cameras and watches. 

There is Wifi Internet for passengers needing to connect to the Internet. Payment can be made using pre-pay vouchers or by credit card by setting up an account at the information desk.

There are disabled toilets and baby changing facilities on the ground floor inside the terminal building. The cafes sell hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and baguettes. The bars sell international beers and spirits.

There are four museums in Aberdeen, Scotland's third largest city. There is the Art Gallery on School Hill. It is closed on Monday and has Impressionist art on display.
