There is one main terminal building, which handles both the arrivals and departures to the airport. There are eight check-in desks and the complex is well laid out making navigation easy. It is a fairly small airport and the staff is friendly and bi-lingual, which helps with any language barriers.

The E70 international road passes through and serves the city. If you are travelling from Deba in the east, you can use the AP8 south onto the E70. From here, you pass through Bilbao, Muskiz and Barcena de Cicero.

 

Coming from the south at Campoo de Enmedio on the A67, head north to Los Corrales de Beulna and Torrelavega.

 

From the west in Llanes, you need the same E70 road. It will pass through San Vicente de la Barquera before reaching the city.

 

 

There are 785 parking spaces at the airport. Twenty of which are assigned for disabled users. Parking fees are charged every 30 minutes or daily. After the fifth consecutive day, the charges are lower. There is a short and long-term parking lot, with payment being accepted at ticket machines.

 

 

There is one shop at the airport called The Airport Shop. It sells map books, magazines, books, soft drinks, confectioneries, toys and gifts. There is the Duty free Shop, which sells discounted confectioneries in bulk as well as tobacco and spirits.

 

There is a small Internet Cafe available in the departure lounge that allows you to surf the Internet and is charged for every 10 minutes used.

 

There are baby changing facilities and disabled toilets in the departure hall as well as the arrivals.

 

There is a currency exchange shop that accepts most foreign currencies. There are ATM machines nearby.

 

 

Santander is the capital of Cantabria in northern Spain. It is most famed for the Magdalena Palace, which was the Royal getaway spot for Spanish Kings.

 

There is the Prehistoric and Archaeological Museum with exhibitions from the Paleolithic to Iron Ages, which you can visit in your Car Hire Santander vehicle.

 

The Bullfighting Museum has all of the bull fighting material and paraphernalia from matadors from around the area. There are paintings and old photographs showing how bullfighting has kept its tradition throughout the years.
