Terminals at Bournemouth Airport

There is one main terminal building at Bournemouth Airport which is undergoing some renovation work. It will expand the terminal and allow more modern shops and check-in desks to be installed. The terminal is open at 4am and closes after the last flight has landed or departed from the airport.

Getting to Bournemouth Airport

Bournemouth is located on the south-coast of England. The airport is around 10km from the city centre in your Car Hire Bournemouth Airport vehicle, but is easily accessed by using the A338. If you are traveling from the east in Lymington you need to use the A337 along the coast to Christchurch and the A35. 

If you are traveling to the airport from the west from Poole, you need to use the A3049 then the A35 which passes through the city center. 

If you are traveling south from the north you need to use the A347 from Longham and the A341 at Northbourne before reaching the city.

The airport has many duty free shops such as Alpha Shopping which has a wide range of products from perfumes, tobacco, spirits, clothing gifts and souvenirs. 

There is Wifi Internet in the HotSpot areas of the airport. These are signposted and usually near to cafes and in the departure lounge. 

There are currency exchange desks which accept most foreign currencies. There are also many ATM machines such as Natwest, Barclays and LINK.

There is a new Boots pharmacy and a WH Smith book store in the departure lounge. There are also baby changing facilities and disabled access wash rooms nearby. 

What's Close to Bournemouth Airport?

Bournemouth is famous for its sandy beaches which stretch for 7 miles along the south coast of England. The pier is situated in the middle of the beach and offers boat trips out into the English Channel.

There is a museum there called Real Bournemouth, which offers visitors a chance to see what the city looked like from old photographs.

St. Peter's Church is the resting place where the author of 'Frankenstein' lies with her husband's heart Percy Bysshe Shelly.
